FAQ
Welcome to The Myoskeletal Clinic's FAQ section! Here, we've compiled a list of common questions about massage therapy services. We hope these answers provide valuable insights into the benefits of professional massage therapy and how I can help improve your well-being. Feel free to reach out if you have additional questions!
Your first session begins with a brief consultation to discuss your goals, pain points, and medical history. This ensures your massage is personalized for you. You'll then have privacy to get comfortable on the table. During the massage, communication is key—please let me know if you'd like more or less pressure at any time.
For the best experience, please arrive about 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment. For mobile sessions, I’ll arrive at your location at least 15 minutes early. Being well-hydrated is recommended. If you’ve booked a mobile session, make sure there’s a quiet, clear space of about 6'x10' available. For any session, feel free to ask last-minute questions when I arrive or when you enter the studio—your comfort comes first.
No. These sessions are therapeutic but are not a form of medical treatment or diagnosis. As a licensed and certified massage therapist, I manipulate soft tissue to promote relaxation and address discomfort, but this is not a substitute for care from a licensed physician. I recommend consulting with your healthcare provider for any medical concerns.
Your comfort and privacy are the priority. You may undress to your level of comfort, and you will be professionally draped, meaning only the area being worked on is exposed. For sessions focusing on assisted stretching, wearing athletic clothing like yoga pants and a loose top is recommended. Massage can also be performed fully clothed, over the sheet. Please note: This is a strictly professional studio, and any inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
Yes. For your safety and to personalize your treatment, all new clients complete a brief digital intake form regarding medical history and sign a consent form. All documentation is stored confidentially in full compliance with HIPAA privacy regulations.
Your digital intake / consent form will be provided upon arrival for your appointment.
